Creating Our Logo
I spent some time on an idea for a logo. I wanted to combine a human profile with something in the head that might signify change - maybe cogs to denote something mechanical? I experimented a bit and then thought of a spiral. I spent awhile in Inkscape (I have always been a fan of Open Source) and I finally developed the following logo. It took a few hours, but I am happy with the initial results. The only problem is that I want to keep opening the file and tweaking the image just a bit. It is easy to get a bit obsessed with things like this, but I think I will focus on other things for awhile.
My background is not in graphic design, but I like simple designs and only one or two colours, so I have kept with my own internal “brief”. I have uploaded this logo around the site, on Instagram, into MailChimp, etc. It is now part of our brand!

Further Modifications
I am happy at the moment with the colour, but I am thinking of trying to make it blue, perhaps. I am going to leave it for awhile and focus on something else in the business - so much to do!

Starting Your Business
There is so much to do when you start a business. I thrive on it! I enjoy putting my hands into several different things - this is one of the characteristics about myself which has driven me into starting a consultancy. I love big picture. I love seeing the pieces start to come together.
